"I learned more in two days of painting with Hugh O'Neill than I have learned in twenty years with other instructors. I look forward to another trip, just to paint with him again," Denise Hodgins, Virginia
“Just brilliant …simply brilliant teacher who taught me everything I needed to know about art and painting while in Ireland with him,” Jeff Lewson, Florida
“In the morning and all before lunch, I visited Saint Patrick’s Grave, then the area where they filmed Game of Thrones, then painted by the11th century built ‘Dundrum Castle, fresh coffee at an acclaimed seafood restaurant, Hugh O’Neill sang an Irish song, met a local farmer… I can’t believe how much I have experienced on my adventure, and this was just the first day, and I was not a painter, but my wife was.

Thank you, no one loves your work as I do; it feeds my soul! Thanks," Lauris Woolford, Ohio
"Hugh's workshop in Ireland was wonderful. He organized everything and looked after us all with great attention. We had a great time painting all day everyday with him. He shows you how to put on the paint confidently and how to 'look' at the values and cool/warm areas of your painting, which is always difficult to see, and the most important part of a good painting. I learnt a lot with Hugh, he pushed me to paint larger canvases with bigger brushes, mixing all colors! Hugh's style is very loose and vibrant, which is why I chose to take a course with him.

Dear Hugh, My time near New Castle in Northern Ireland, painting the fantastic landscapes we encountered every day, was so spectacular.... even beyond my dreams! Everywhere I looked was a feast for the eyes. The scenery we painted "en plein air" inspired all of us. We had nothing to worry about since you provided for all our needs... we just set up and painted! Our last day, I'll always remember; as we painted from a high point overlooking pasturelands below with the Bourne Mountains in the distance, you strummed your guitar and softly serenaded us with Irish folk songs. I was moved to tears by the beauty of it all. Thank you, Hugh. Sincerely, Ginny Pappalardo, MA, USA
I have travelled extensively in Ireland and Europe with various tour guides or teachers, but the days with Hugh have been among the best I’ve experienced. Each place or work of art we visit has come alive for us when Hugh shares his deep pool of knowledge about whatever it is we are viewing. I am very grateful that my husband and I went together. I can honestly say that Hugh’s brilliant teaching has greatly inspired my life.

Dear Hugh, First of all, the trip was everything Min and I hoped it would be. We loved Northern Ireland; the mountains, the Sea, and the people. The art instruction was excellent and provided a base to hopefully build upon in the future. The last day, overlooking and painting Slieve Donard Mountain, with your playing and singing in the background, was a moment I will not forget.
